I really like animals, but living in the city you never really get to see many. They have a simple nature about them and you can normally tell how they’refeeling. Some years ago, the OH and I visited the family park when we travelled to East Lothian to see one of the castles there and we really enjoyed it. East Links Family Park in East Lothian is aimed at children, but it’s also a fun place to go for the young at heart. We had so much fun getting to the top of the castle, coming down the slide andseeing the 10-day old piglets.
Once you’ve got your tickets, you can either change your 50p for tokens which you can use for the mini golf course, or grab a brightly coloured plastic cup to feed into the machines for food pellets for feeding the animals!
East Links Family Park can be found in Dunbar, EH42 1XF The Park is normally open 10:00am to 5:00pm, during the July holidays it is open till 6:00pm and till dusk for the winter. For more information, visit their website.
