Inspiration of the day

Between work, sewing and classes, I’ve barely had time for anything else. Every now and then, we need a little reminder of how important it is to be true to ourselves. I haven’t posted any inspirational quotes in a while, so here’s this week’s:

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, even if it’s not true. Sometimes we come across a situation that causes us stress and anxiety. How we decide to react to it is another matter altogether.

We can’t stop strangers from making assumptions or bad situations from happening. No matter how many people you set straight about their misconceptions, there will always be another one out there with similar negative thoughts.

Negative experiences will always crop up when we least expect it. How do we learn to appreciate the good times and not take it for granted when we don’t have something to keep everything in balance?

We can’t always control everything that happens in our life, but we can learn to brush off other’s opinion of us and learn how to handle situations outwith our control.

We can learn to take a deep breath and walk away. We can change our mindset from ‘Why is this happening to me?’ to ‘How can I change what’s happening to me?’

Why worry about what everyone else thinks when the people who matter most to you don’t feel the same way?

Why stress about a difficult situation when you know what you’re going to do about it?

Whenever something difficult comes your way, take a deep breath and think about how you want to approach the situation instead of reacting to your emotions.

Make a conscious effort to come away happy instead of thinking ‘what if’ with resentment.

Make a positive change.
