I can’t even remember how I stumbled across Jilly’s blog in the first place. Oh yes, I happened across her tweet on Twitter when it was re-tweeted that she was trying to organise a meet up for all Scottish bloggers. How cool is that?! Being new to the scene myself (now reaching my year and a half landmark as a semi-veteran in this ol’ game of update your blog and keep readers interested). So of course when Jilly had posed the original question back in March if there was any interest, I jumped at the chance and gave a resounding YES!
There is definitely a good number of interested bloggers with 40 interested bloggers who will be joining in on the fun!, the chance to network and meet others in the blogosphere is too good to pass up in a country with a population of only 5.2 million (to put this into perspective for you, Hong Kong is a much smaller island and already has a population of 7.1 million!)
The event is still currently in the works with sponsorship and location being organised, but it was agreed on that Central Glasgow would be the best place as it’s on the Central Belt and would be most accessible for most participants with great (and frequent) public transportation from pretty much everywhere in the country. At £10 per head, this is a great price for a welcome pack and networking opportunities to meet other bloggers in the country, to make new friends as well as learn how to get your blog out there in the big wide world!
The dates being considered at the moment are either Saturday or Sunday on the 12/13th July or 16/17th August weekends. If you’re interested, do get in touch with Jilly either by leaving her a message or send Jilly an e-mail.
To find out more, vote for your preferred date and to register your interest in participating in the event, check out Jilly’s blog by clicking here or on the image above.
So let’s hear it all! Who’s coming?
