This weekend has most definitely been eventful, to say the least! I’ve barely had a chance to catch my breath with everything happening at the same time! As usual, work has been hectic while the OH has been participating in the 48-hour film competition (screening for all the entries will be at the Cameo Picturehouse on Thursday 15th May) and we’ve also been to the classic car show at the Grampian Transport Museum in Alford, Aberdeenshire too.
The drive took 2.5 hours from Edinburgh and, as always, was full of laughs and adventure. Three Porsches (also fondly referred to as Porkers by owners of the classics and modern mechanical celebrities) later turned into 4, then back to 3 again and turned into a journey of ‘follow that car, and don’t lose him’. Oh, and who can forget the lead car missing a turn and watching 3 sportscars trying to reverse at the same time?
This first edition Game Boy certainly brought back childhood memories!
If you’re the owner of a classic car and are interested in showing your prized possession to the general public, the Grampian Transport Museum started the Grampian Motor Clubs Initiative, what is hoped to be a yearly gathering called ‘Clubs Spectacular’ which kicked off this weekend, and consists of various motor clubs to increase public awareness and interest in the motor world. If you’re interested or think your club might be, you can find out more by clicking here.
